Born on May 13, 1974, in Lawrence County, Indiana, he was the beloved son of Boyd Edward Phillips and Mary Jo Phillips. Throughout his life, Kyle demonstrated a remarkable work ethic and a determination that earned him the respect of colleagues, friends, and family alike.
A highly skilled electrician by trade, Kyle dedicated more than three decades to his profession after completing his apprenticeship. His career reflected both his expertise and commitment to excellence. For many years, he worked at General Motors as an electrician and was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). His fellow workers remember him as dependable, knowledgeable, and always willing to lend a hand when needed.
Outside of his career, Kyle found joy in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who appreciated the peace and adventure that nature provided. Whether spending time in the woods, on the water, or simply enjoying the outdoors with family and friends, he found happiness in life’s simple moments. Those experiences became treasured memories shared with the people he loved most.
Above all else, Kyle was a devoted father. His greatest pride and joy were his sons, Silas Phillips and Liam Phillips. He loved them deeply and worked tirelessly to provide guidance, support, and encouragement throughout their lives. The bond he shared with his children will remain a lasting source of strength and cherished memories for them in the years ahead.
Kyle is survived by his sons, Silas and Liam; his mother, Mary Jo Phillips; his sisters, Theresa Morgan and Denise Haggard; and his nephews, Jared Haggard and Blake Davis. He was preceded in death by his father, Boyd Edward Phillips.
